Keep your business number: how call forwarding works with an AI answering service

The first worry most owners have is their phone number. It is on the truck, the sign and your Google listing. You can keep it.

Your number stays the same

You keep your business number and your phone company. Customers keep dialing the number they know. Onda works through call forwarding, a feature most phone lines already have.

Only the calls you don't pick up

Your phone rings first, the way it does today. When you answer, nothing changes. When you don't, because you are under a sink, with a client or closed for the night, the call forwards to your Onda line and the AI answers.

Phone companies often call this "forward when no answer" or "conditional forwarding." The steps are different for each carrier, so we send you the steps for yours.

Good to know

No app, no new software

To get started, you need two things: a phone number that can forward calls, and an email address.

  1. You fill out one short form. Your hours, your services, common questions and anything Onda should not say.
  2. Our team builds and tests your front desk. You check it and can ask for changes before any call forwards.
  3. You turn on forwarding. That day, we email you a payment link. When you enter your card, the $99 setup fee is charged and your 7-day trial starts.
  4. Leads come to your email. Name, number and what the caller needs. Tap the number to call back from your own phone.

There is no portal to check and nothing to install. If you can read an email, you can use it.

Hear a sample call

A sample call to a demo restaurant

A call that forwarded to Onda, from greeting to saved request.

In these sample calls, the caller is also an AI voice, on a real phone call. Clips are shortened: phone numbers and addresses were removed, and some pauses were trimmed. Names are made up.

Hear it before you decide

Call our demo plumbing company at (213) 451-5553. An AI answers, and the call may be recorded. The company is made up, so feel free to use a made-up name. Or listen to short sample calls on our site.

$199 a month. There is no monthly fee during the trial. One-time $99 setup. No annual contract.
